There are several wind surfing and water skiing schools in Kos. They offer excellent training and certification, which are valid all around the world.
The biggest advantage Kos watersports beaches have are their location. Most of them are located on curves on the beach or are sheltered beside hills. This enables the surfers to go out 1-1.5 Kms into sea and still not obstruct the shipping lanes.
If you are on a family holiday, you can hire and Canoe or a Pedal boat and have hours of quality fun on the calm seas. You will find that most of them are actually pretty cheap holidays in Kos.
